1:00 p.m.  Ketogenic Diet and Adenosine: Basic Science and Translational Opportunities
Explore links between metabolism and brain activity and discuss therapies which may benefit from a better understanding of this relationship with Susan Masino, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience.  Research at Trinity has focused on the mechanisms underlying the success of the ketogenic diet, a proven metabolic therapy for epilepsy, and identifying new treatment opportunities for brain disorders.

3:00 p.m.  The Slow Rise and Quick Fall of the Muslim Brotherhood
Join Ron Kiener, Professor of Religion, as he explores the ideological roots and central personalities in the development of the 20th century movement known as the Muslim Brotherhood. He will also examine how the tumultuous and ongoing Arab Spring has played havoc with the manichean universe imagined by Brethren ideologists and politicians.
